Coral Springs Holiday Parade is an annual Holiday Parade with a large community participation. This year’s theme is “Lights, Camera, Selfie!” Since the community is heavily involved in this parade, it features floats and other displays created and occupied by members of local clubs, sports teams, organizations, religious groups, and local school marching bands. The parade runs along Sample Road, starting at Coral Springs Drive and ends at City Hall. Wednesday, December 15 at 7 p.m.

The Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade is the most anticipated holiday extravaganza and it kicks off South Florida’s holiday season. Although there are other boat parades, none compare to this parade. The parade features all kinds of boats from small private ones to giant showboats and even corporate yachts, all lavishly adorned with hundreds of thousands of festive lights. In addition to the dazzling displays, the parading boats often showcase beauty queens, musical bands, and celebrities. There are several places to view the parade. For more information and to view the route please visit https://winterfestparade.com. Saturday, December 11, 2021, from 6:30 PM To 8:30 PM

For those who have recently relocated to Parkland or the South Florida region from the north, the holiday season can be a time of adjustment. Although Parkland does not have freezing temperatures, snow, cloudy/gray skies for an extended period of time, or icy roads, we still manage to capture the beauty of the holiday season. In addition to large events and displays sponsored by cities and other entities, many private homeowners create incredible displays. Please feel free to contact Bill for locations of beautifully decorated private homes or recommendations for other ways to help you get into the holiday spirit.

Happy Holidays
