PARKLAND MARK YOUR CALENDARS
The city of Parkland scheduled some special events and programs for 2024. Here is a brief look at what Parklanders can look forward to in the first quarter of 2024.
FAMILY FUN FEST CARNIVAL:
The carnival is coming to town! The fun begins Friday, January 12, 2024 and continues through Sunday, January 14th.
TRIBUTE TO MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR:
A time to honor an extraordinary man. Monday, January 15, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. at Pine Trails Park.
SNOWFEST:
Come play in the snow on Thursday, January 18, 2024 5:00PM -8:00PM at the Parkland Equestrian Center.
MAYORS’ CHESS CHALLENGE:
Join families, elected officials, and community leaders for free and friendly meetups of chess. Players of all ages and skill levels are welcome. Saturday, January 27, 2024 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at the Parkland Recreation and Enrichment Center.
COMMUNITY COMMEMORATION AND DAY OF SERVICE:
Parkland will honor the 17 victims through service projects on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. Additionally, a Community Commemoration will begin at 5:30 p.m. at Pine Trails Park.
ORANGE RIBBONS FOR JAIME GALA:
February 17th at the Loft on Congress. The Party begins at 7:30 PM.
PARKLAND DAY:
On Saturday, March 9th come celebrate Parkland with a parade, games, rides, a food court, live music, and more. Parade starts at 10 a.m. All other activities will start at 4 p.m. For more information please visit https://www.cityofparkland.org/1551/Parkland-Day.
EGGSTRAVAGANZA:
Hippity Hop on over to Terramar Park for a “Parkland Resident Only” Event. The fun begins at 9:30 AM on Saturday, March 23. This is an extravagant egg hunt, so space is limited and prior registration is required. Registration is now open online via WebTrac and in person at the P-RECBuilding.
